The building had various identities in the past including a bakery, haberdashery and even village Post Office. Since being purchased by Mr Jay Alam, the hotel has undergone a complete refurbishes and although there are rooms dating back to Elizabethan times (which are rumoured to have their own resident ghosts), each of the 16 bedrooms boasts comfortable en-suite facilities.
